Ophthalmology

This clinical module helps ophthalmologists to properly evaluate, diagnose and manage different eye conditions and dysfunctions. General ophthalmological and neurological history analysis helps clearing out eye condition or dysfunction etiology. Functional evaluation of eye motility, glaucoma and intra ocular tension, visual acuity problems, visual field defects and abnormalities, and color vision problems using classic ishihara tests.

Special examination includes assessment of red eye syndrome, eye emergencies, neuro-ophthalmological conditions like nystagmus and myasthenia gravis. Local eye examination is schematic; orbit, eye lid, lacrimal system, cornea, conjunctiva and sclera, iris and cillary body, pupil and lens, fundus examination, optic nerve and retinal. Final management plan is designed whether to use medications, to correct vision with glasses or lenses, or to decide an operative or laser intervention.
