What is Patient Search ?
MedicaPlus provides its users with a very easy to use patient search engine. It is provided using various search criteria (any part of the name, address, sponsor or company) allowing for finding the correct patient with minimum data.
A very powerful feature of the Patient Search component is that it is customizable. The user may define his/her own search criteria and include them in the search window without any programming knowledge. For example, the user may add a field for

· The physician, and hence, when used, the result will contain all the patients currently registered with this specific physician.
· A required investigation, and hence, when used, the result will contain all the patients with the specific investigation ordered for them.

What is Medica Reports & Statistics ?
MedicaPlus is supplied containing a large set of predefined reports serving most of the needs of the hospital.
For purpose of generation of other reports, Medica supplies its users with an AD-HOC queries and report generator subsystem to facilitate the process of defining new sets of reports on demand tosatisfy the user’s requirements. The user can use this subsystem to create, save, modify, and run new and existing reports.
New reports can be also created in a generic report designer such as Crystal reports then attached to the MedicaPlus © system using this module.
Users can create reports with listings, graphs and images.
The system also has a generic Report Organizer application that categorizes all the system reports into meaningful groups.

What is Tickler ?
MedicaPlus includes an extremely flexible and powerful tool that enables healthcare organizations to improve quality and automate tasks capitalizing of the tremendous amount of data captured by the different modules of the system. The Tickler is a tool that enables system administrators to define any types of alerts and notifications with associated actions on alerted items. Alerts can be the result of an event that happens or detecting a pattern or situation in the database based on various processes occurring round the clock. The Tickler utilizes the Rules@Work Toolkit to define alerts and possible allowable actions on the alerted items. Different time intervals for different alerts can be set for different users or groups of users. Once the event or pattern occurs, the Tickler Agent will automatically take action or alert the concerned users of the situation. It can even be configured to escalate alerts to the next level of authority if no actions were taken on the alerts for a user specified period of time. This open and flexible mechanism opens the door for very advanced applications and uses in healthcare and will prove to be an indispensable tool for the hospitals.

What is the function of the Worklist ?
