Endoscopy
One of the main diagnostic procedures developed in the gastrointestinal medicine specialty. Used to investigate, diagnose and in certain cases to treat conditions in a non-invasive technique. Upper GIT endoscopy is used to evaluate and manage esophageal and gastric conditions. ERCP is used to clear hepatic, billiary, and pancreatic lesions that may cause obstructive or inflammatory conditions. Lower GIT endoscopy is used to diagnose different colonic segment illnesses. Advanced techniques can be combined such as motility studies and esophageal ultrasonography. The module helps registering pre-procedural lab tests, procedure information, Indications, Examination information, Findings, assessment and diagnosis, and finally treatment planning.
